Youth Events of 2001!
Here are some of the youth events of 2001.
Hi Lacey!
Hi Anna!

Washin' windows.

At this place we weeded, mowed, washed the van, picked up trash, did the windows, trimmed, cut back the bushes and almost got away with it.= )

We would like to start by directing your attention to Jesse with an updated Feces Alert.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Guys Hike and Camp Retreat Weekend
This summer we started doing something called "Secret Service".  We would target a need that we could meet and then attack it as a group and accomplish as much a possible even without being noticed if that was possible.  It was fun and rewarding.
"Secret Service"
Here are the guys that made it for the Guys Camp Retreat at Peekaboo Lake this summer.  It was a great weekend!  God did a miracle by holding off the rain that weekend.
Here are Kim, Amber, Sarah and Christen working dilgently on a flowerbed that needed attention.  You should have seen it when they were done!
Each fall we have a special event to welcome the new 7th graders.  This year we had a party at James' house and during that time we started a new annual tradition - a game called "Hilidguard".  Look below to learn more....
7th Grade Welcome & "Hildiguard"
This targeted mission for "Secret Service" was the home of a elderly widow in our community.  She had no connection with the church but very in need of yard work.  We have attacked the place twice now and it has been unreconizeable improvement.  Here's the work crew last time.  They're so awesome!
More "Secret Service"
The guys had a hiking retreat this year, and the girls had an overnighter.  I hear it was filled with lots of fun crazy stuff, and some good devo's.

The whole gang...
Yep!  Hildiguard is a fish!
Hildiguard!
Yep, Hildiguard is a nice little cat fish.  This cat fish would fly back and forth over the volleyball net to be caught and thrown again by the other team with their garbage bags.  It was a blast - or more like a splat, actually - but everyone had a great time
The 7th graders especially grew attached to Hildiguard....
(Hildiguard saying cheese....)
This was the midnight snack run in pajamas.
Other activities included bowling, night swimming, mixers, movie, make your own pizza, pajama shopping, volleyball, etc..  A good time had by all.
Volleyball is our classic game.  Spontaneous games break out at any time and go well past dark.  Any number of players, any version of the game, anywhere, anytime, pretty much describes it.
Volleyball
This was a family campout and it was lots of fun (after it stopped raining the first night=)  There were a number of boats there so we got in a lot of wakeboarding, kneeboarding, tubing, skiing, in addition to....um....
...yeah...volleyball.

Amber waiting her turn on the wakeboard in her little mermaid towel.  = )

The water was freezing but Ben accepted the challenge to go out and get a water bottle that was thrown into the middle of the lake on his little raft.  He got $10 out of it = )
