We're Married!!

Lucas Long and Summer Brown Wedding

Crazy, huh?

On May 28th, 2006, Summer Brown and I were married! The wedding was in Macon, Georgia, with tons of friends and family. It was such a fun time having all the people you love at one place and then having such a special day with the one you love the most! We are slowing adding pictures from the wedding to our photo album which can be seen HERE

You can read the whole story of how God led our lives together on the "Love Page" here. We are so excited about how God has led us this far and what He has in store for the future. Our prayer is that we could be mightily effective for the Kingdom of God as a couple.

We are so thankful for the prayers of SO many on our behalf through the harder times, the waiting periods, the valleys, the times it seemed impossible...

Bungy Jumping!

Summer and I Went Bungy Jumping!

On Summer's most recent trip out to Washington, November 7th - 14th, 2005, she and I went bungy jumping! We went up to Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada with Ryan Gardner, and Bryan and Brenda Bohl.

It was Summer's first time bungy jumping and she loved it! She jumped twice. The first jump was tandem - here and i jumped together. It's so crazy falling off a 143ft bridge together with a rope tied to your feet! = ) Strangly enough, we both agreed it seemed peaceful, as we fell through the air holding each other.

Summer's second jump was by herself and she decided to go backwards. She didn't hesitate, scream or look nervous at all. She loved it! What are the chances of that...? = )

As best I can tell, God made two people perfectly for each other... ; )

1940's Banquet of Royal Servants Youth Ministry

Annual Parents Appreciation Banquet - 1940's Themed

Our Annual Banquet in honor of our parents, Prayer Warriors, and supporters this year was done in a 1940's theme, and was again lots of fun!

It was done in the style of an old radio show for the troops, so there were special songs, dramas, advertisements, and humor.

In addition there were copies of actual ration cards on the tables, old style grill microphones, lots of flags, a shoe shine station, a coat check, valet parking, a crank telephone, etc, etc.

One of the most fun parts about the annual banquet is just the aim to do it with excellence and to the best of our ability. So many worked SO hard again this year to make it happen and it was a tremedous blessing to each of our guests!
